This is a review and recommendation for Atlantic Hearing, Balance and Tinnitus center. I cannot recommend them more highly. They have been extremely professional and informative in every interaction. In seeing them I have become more knowledgeable with regard to my hearing and the science behind treatment. If I was younger I would be asking for direction to learn even more. I would have been proud to work with a group like this. Here’s the story.

I have been a patient of Atlantic Hearing and Balance and Tinnitus center for over 4 years. After an initial examination and testing it was determined that hearing aids might be helpful for my hearing and tinnitus problem. I initially tried over the ear hearing aids that gave me immediate improvement. The center provided good follow up with adjustments for even better results.

With the advent of Covid 19 and wearing mask I developed a problem in wearing glasses, masks and hearing aids for long periods of time. We decided that I should try a different type of hearing aid that fit within the ear canal. Those hearing aids solved the mask, glasses, and hearing aid problem but did not improve sound or quality as much as I had hoped. Through multiple visits with Kristine Terrell at the New Smyrna Beach office we mutually agreed that after 18 months of trying to make things work it was time to go back to the over the ear hearing aid. Kristine has been helpful and supportive throughout this process. There have been continuing advances in those over the ear devices in the 18 months I wore the in canal aids. We are no longer wearing masks and these new over the ear devices are markedly more comfortable and superior in performance. We are now in the process of tweaking adjustments for best possible performance. My friends and family have noticed positive changes in my cognition immediately. I now wear my devices from my first cup of coffee until I go to bed at night. I have my life back!

Again I highly recommend and have often referred friends and family to this group. The courtesy and professionalism from the initial contact and through my last visit are much appreciated. Having a satellite office in New Smyrna Beach has been a great benefit.
