Ashleigh Collis, Audiology Resident
Ashleigh Collis, one of our doctoral residents, has a provisional audiology license. She is a fourth year audiology student at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC. She is CAOHC certified for occupational hearing conservation and proficient in clinical American Sign Language. Ashleigh grew up in Clearwater, Florida, and attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Although she joined the Atlantic team in May of 2019, she has been working in the profession since 2016. Ashleigh works at the offices in Port Orange and Ormond Beach. She has a special interest in ototoxicity monitoring. Ototoxicity is the damaging effects of medications on the hearing and balance organs. Her capstone research project is on using a new method to monitor the ototoxic effects of chemotherapy medications in the pediatric populations.
