Dr. Julie Reynolds Unger, Au.D., F-AAA Board Certified Audiologist
Dr. Julie Reynolds Unger is a Board-Certified Audiologist and a member of the Florida Academy of Audiology. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree from Augusta State University in Communication Studies with a minor in Psychology. She went on to earn her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Dr. Unger completed her residency in Tampa, FL at Alvarez Audiology and Hearing. This residency was excellent training in all aspects of private practice. Upon graduating, she accepted a position at the American Institute of Balance (AIB) in Largo, FL, specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of vestibular disorders. She was thrilled to broaden her expertise to vestibular audiology while continuing to serve the needs of patients with hearing loss and tinnitus. In August of 2017, Dr. Unger happily joined the Atlantic Hearing and Balance team, moving to Ponce Inlet, FL with her husband and two dogs. She is excited to serve patients with hearing loss here in Volusia County, with particular interests in aural rehabilitation and tinnitus. Dr. Unger considers it a blessing from the Lord to help patients hear their loved ones and the world around them. Her favorite part of her job is developing lasting relationships with her patients and seeing their lives change for the better. In her free time she enjoys the beach, her two shih tzus, and any outside activity in Florida’s beautiful weather!
