Kathy Stigers, M.A., F-AAA, CCC-A
Kathy Stigers is a Clinical Audiologist with over 35 years of experience. Kathy received her Bachelor’s Degree from East Carolina University, and her Master’s Degree in Audiology from the University of Tennessee. She is an active member of the Florida Academy of Audiology and the American Academy of Audiology. Her specialties include Pediatric Audiology, Hearing Aids, Educational Audiology, and Aural Rehabilitation.
Kathy is from Pennsylvania but has lived in the Port Orange area for the last 26 years. She has been married for 31 years and has two children. She has a son and a daughter, as well as a grandson and two boxers. In her life outside of Audiology, Kathy enjoys traveling, playing golf, sewing, doing crafts, and redecorating. She is also passionate about dog rescues and loves to help in any way possible.
Kathy’s first college roommate had three deaf siblings, and her interest in Audiology was sparked when she saw the challenges they faced in everyday life. Kathy was involved with hearing loss education of children for 20 years. During that time, she participated in a statewide grant with 5 other countries that helped implement sound field systems in all the classrooms in the country. For Kathy, this is a career highlight. She loves working with patients and helping them hear better so their communication skills improve. She enjoys being able to improve her patients’ quality of life, and believes that the rewards are immeasurable.
